Top Teacher Gifts

Buying for the kids’ teachers is never easy. I don’t know why…it feels like I should be a pro at this! But, alas, I am not. With our kids, we’ve got an age spread from 4th grade to kindergarten. That means the types of things a teacher might vary!

Here’s a list of gift ideas that have worked out in the past. Hopefully this helps make the season a little less stressful and a little more peaceful! Happy gifting!

the gift card

I honestly think everyone wants gift cards. I don’t know a teacher who doesn’t like them, or who can’t easily find a use for them. The teachers in our area have enjoyed gift cards from Target, Amazon, Visa, and the bank. Our local bank used to do these, but recently stopped for reasons I can’t explain. Even so, a gift card from a local restaurant is a nice idea, too. These gifts keep on giving!

initial tote and makeup bag

This is another one of those things that we seem to have a lot of, but when it comes down to it, they often need to be replaced. Tote bags and little makeup bags are essentials that never go out of style. Ordering ahead so you can have one with the teacher’s initial make them a bit more special. They’re nothing fancy, but they’re 100% useful. I love these!

themed mug

Teachers are special people, and they know how to appreciate the cutesy things out there. These mugs are pretty stinkin’ adorable. And while I used to think travel coffee mugs are a dime a dozen, the older I get, the more often I lose, break, or need a replacement in this department. These mugs are too cute to pass on if you can’t think of anything else!

teacher grab-bag

So, here’s a little mix-up with a mug, a candle, a keychain, and a little canvas bag. I like making these myself, but there are certainly pre-made offerings available online. If I’m arranging a little bag for teachers myself, I like to grab tea, hot cocoa, candles, fancy chocolates, nuts, hair ties, little bracelets, pens, and the like. Sometimes I hit up Target, the Dollar Tree, or TJ Maxx for this kind of arrangement. Get creative and have fun! It’s the little things that count, and sometimes the sweetest little treats are even hanging around at 5 Below!

wine chiller and tumblers

I can only get away with this gift in our kids’ private school. Sometimes, I have a good enough relationship with the teacher to have an idea about whether or not he/she would use or enjoy a tumbler set. Either way, this is a neat gift to have in your back pocket. Plenty of people could enjoy it. Tell me if you purchased this one and how it went over! Always feel free to pair with your favorite bottle of wine, champagne, or a nice prosecco.

Add your great ideas here!!! Let’s share the peace of mind a little collaboration brings! Happy shopping this holiday season!
