I don’t know about you, but almost every year (there have been a few I missed) I try to get something for my besties. It’s a little way to remind the women I love that they matter to me. I know we spend plenty of time gifting everyone all over the place, but finding something small and sweet for the women who help lift me up makes me feel really good, too.
Here are a few suggestions for simple somethings that can brighten the besties in your life!
Badass affirmations book
I love a good book, but I don’t always have time for them. This little cutie has little reminders smattered throughout so we can help each other through the tougher days. I love this kind of book for my nightstand or the corner of my office desk. I can leaf through it casually when I need a pick-me-up. Small and sweet and definitely a treat.
Bestie bracelet
Ok, hear me out. I realize this might seem cheesy. But it’s NOT. I love little bracelets and this is the kind of accessory I like to change out frequently. I like to try new things, mix new colors and styles, and LIVE A LITTLE. Having a fun new bracelet from a friend is something I know lots of other ladies appreciate, too. Try styles you think your friends will like. Simplicity is a great thing, and sometimes, it’s truly the little things that just say, “I’m thinking of you, girl!”
Acrylic frame
Framed photos are an easy sell when it comes to people you love. Why NOT capture an amazing photo from who-knows-when you laughed your butts off? This sweet little frame just makes me laugh, and I bet it will make your bestie laugh, too. If this frame is not your jam, I know you can find one at Michaels, Target, Walmart, or Home Goods. Those hot spots are sure to have something to your liking.
Spa treats gift basket
I don’t know a gal who doesn’t love a new candle, lovely smelling soap, or a bath bomb. I like to make up little baskets of goodies on my own, but in a pinch, there are pre-made baskets out there that do the trick, too. When it comes to my bestie, I just want her to feel good and have the necessary tools to take a little break. Bath bombs, candles, lotions, bath salts, all that stuff is just the ticket.
Donate in your bestie’s name
Sometimes, we truly have it all. When this is the case, it can be really nice to make a donation in the name of your friend. There are so many amazing causes out there. Cancer research, children’s hospitals, you name it and there is an organization in need of funds. I would research something that means a lot to you. If you’re not sure where to get started, consider clicking some of the links below to check out some of the local organizations Hubs and I look to support each year:
- The Arc, Chester County
- Home of the Sparrow
- Cradles to Crayons Philadelphia
- Domestic Violence Center of Chester County
- The Crime Victim’s Center of Chester County
- Camp Dream Catcher
I hope this helps inform your shopping this season! Have fun and share your thoughts/ideas in the comments below! Happy Holidays!
