Peace in My Mantras

Over the years, Hubs has bought me a few bracelets with words engraved into the metal. I forget to wear them, mostly because yoga and other movement has me all over the place. I’m a woman on the move!

BUT, new year, new practice, right?

I pulled out my two favorite bracelets and realized how meaningful their words are. My bracelets read: “Love you more,” with the date we were married, and the other one reads, “Hakuna Matata.”

If you know anything about me, you might know that these two phrases basically encapsulate my greatest values. I want to be loved, and I want to be worry-free. How poetic and perfect that Hubs should engrave these words for me to remember? If I could just remember to put on my bracelets.

Life is funny like that. It stares us in the face, smiling, waiting, watching, and then, all of a sudden, we remember ourselves. These bracelets symbolize mantras that guide my life. They’re sweet, simple, and a little silly (I mean, the immortal words of Pumba and Timon are solid gold, AMIRIGHT?!)

This year, I want to remember the things that are important to me more often. I want to start every day remembering that I can be loved and worry-free. For the rest of my days. This will bring me peace.

What brought you peace this week? Share the peace!
