Have you ever had a Tarot Card reading before?
Tarot Card readings can be like a yoga class. Every class is different, every instructor is different, and every experience feels different in the body.
Tarot Card readings are just like that: depending upon your reader, your energy, and what cards are drawn, each reading can be a wholly different experience.
But let me back up for a second…
What are Tarot Cards, anyway?
A traditional Tarot deck has 78 cards. These cards are comprised of two different groups: the Major Arcana and the Minor Arcana.
The Major Arcana has 22 cards. The graphics on the cards depict images of beginnings and endings, discoveries and losses, stillness, and growth.
The Minor Arcana has 56 cards. Each card shows a different element of the self. For example, because cups are associated with water, which is ever-flowing and fluid, these cards are meant to express aspects of the emotional self. By contrast, pentacles are linked to the earth, which means these cards represent the physical self.
When a card is drawn, it offers symbolism, describing an aspect of life to consider. Cards are placed in a certain position so that they can reference your past, future, and present.
Learning to read Tarot Cards is an interesting skill.
Enter: Emma Moyer.
Emma is an intuitive whose love for life and its magical moments led her to Tarot Cards.
Next week, we’ll feature her skills and wisdom in The Studio. She will ask you questions, help you to feel grounded in the space, and offer answers via a reading. The cards dealt, more often than not, unveil wisdom and insight. Other times, the cards reinforce exactly what you’ve been thinking. The cards laugh a little and show you a pleasant picture to symbolize what you needed to hear.
When Emma read my cards, I asked a question to the universe. I wanted some direction about a choice I had to make. In my mind, there were two distinct choices, and I knew I could only choose one. I expected to find “the lovers” card, which symbolizes choices.
Instead, there before me appeared the two of pentacles.
This is a card that symbolizes balance and harmony. The card indicated that there is a way to maintain balance. Choices are not always “either or.” I was reminded of a clear life lesson: just because I assumed I needed to choose one way, there was a second choice I failed to acknowledge: finding a balance between two.
If meeting with Emma for a reading interests you, please feel free to text me and schedule your 20-minute reading.
She is available in the space this Wednesday, November 13th from 6-9 p.m. Enjoy a nice cup of tea, a calming space, and a moment of clarity from the cards. Emma’s ability to relay their messages and intuit what guides your life is astounding!
I know you will enjoy her calming presence and deep wisdom.
